The key points are:
- The furlough scheme will be extended until October
- No changes to the terms of the scheme up to the end of July
- From August to October, businesses will be able to bring furloughed employees back part-time. Further details should be provided by the end of May in this respect.
- Workers will continue to receive the same level of support: 80% of salary up to £2,500 but eluded to the fact that this cost will be shared with employers. Again, we await further details on this as well.
