Kieran Westby

Conveyancing Executive

I initially started working within Yates & Co in around 2008 picking up experience of the workplace and assisting the Partners, fee earners and staff with their daily work.

The excitement of my work experience wasn’t enough to stop me then going to university to study for a degree in Accounting. Once completed, I returned to Yates & Co to work whilst looking for a job and my tasks had been upgraded to working on reception and typing letters for different departments, whilst still assisting the Partners, fee earners and staff where required.

I was then offered the opportunity of a more permanent position at Yates & Co with the promise of further progression which is when I became a member of the conveyancing department here. Initially, I assisted the team in dealing with all facets of conveyancing including opening files, answering client queries and drafting reports.

All these years later, I now have full conduct of my own caseload and deal with most areas of residential conveyancing. This includes sales, purchases, remortgages and transfer of equity. My experience within the company has provided me a wealth of skills that allow me to provide a high level of service to my clients and ensure that they are well informed, not only in the legal aspects of their matter, but also the full process from instruction to completion.

I enjoy building a strong friendly rapport with my clients so that they can approach me with any questions or issues that they have. My clients know that they can come to me with any issue and will receive a response assisting them with the same.

Currently, I am studying a PGDL in Law with the aim of completing the SQE course and becoming a solicitor.

Outside the office, I enjoy watching sports and films and spending time with my family and friends.
