The marriage of rapper Professor Green and Made In Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh has come to an end after they were granted a divorce.
Quality Street heiress Millie was given a decree nisi by District Judge Heather MacGregor during a quick hearing at the Central London Family Court on Wednesday (May 25th).
Married couples going through a difficult time and seeking advice from divorce lawyers in Cheshire will be relieved to hear the pair’s legal split took less than 30 seconds, despite the publicity surrounding their separation.
Neither of the couple was present for the divorce, which was granted on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.
Professor Green, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, together with his ex-wife announced their separation in February in a joint statement.
It said: “It is with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation. It is a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known that it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well.”
The unlikely couple first met in 2011 before getting engaged two years later and tying the knot in September 2013.
They wed in a lavish ceremony at Babington House, Somerset, surrounded by friends and family.
However, the divorce might not have come as a surprise to some people after Professor Green previously told The Sun newspaper the couple are so busy, they only saw each other “like ships in the night”.
He stated it was “difficult” being away from each other for long spells, particularly during touring, and when they did get together “you’d just start arguing”.
Despite this, they gushed about their love for one another on social media to mark their second anniversary, just five months before they announced their split.
