Isobel Grove
Education:
Isobel completed her secondary education at Bishopston Comprehensive School. After completing her A levels at Gorseinon College, Isobel studied Law at the University of Exeter obtaining a First Class Honours Degree in 2020. Following this, Isobel went on to undertake a Master of Laws at Cardiff University, allowing her to focus on specific areas of interest.
Career:
Throughout her education, Isobel gained legal experience in a number of roles alongside her studies. Whilst at the University of Exeter, Isobel was part of the Access to Justice Advice Clinic, providing weekly advice to the local community on matters such as housing, mortgages and early inheritance. During her time at Cardiff University, Isobel was part of the Innocence Project, working on cases of clients who claim they have been wrongfully convicted. Isobel has also undertaken work experience in Pendragon Chambers within the Family and Civil department and has shadowed a Judge on Criminal and Civil matters in Exeter Combined Courts. Isobel has recently been appointed as a Justice of the Peace and is looking forward to sitting within the Criminal Division in South Wales.
Personal:
Isobel enjoys being active in her spare time, whether it is going to the gym, paddle boarding or walking her dog. Isobel is actively involved in her local rugby club, often volunteering and helping to organise fundraising events.
