Frances joined QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright as a legal secretary in 2004 whilst studying for a law degree. She was offered a training contract with the firm and admitted as a Solicitor in 2009. As part of the Dispute Resolution Team Frances deals with a wide range of litigation matters for both companies and individuals including Employment Law.
The Head of Dispute Resolution says: Frances has boundless energy and enthusiasm and has demonstrated a ‘can do’ mentality in her approach to her work and is much loved by her growing client base. The decision to promote her was an easy one to take. She is a great asset to the Dispute Resolution and Litigation department.
Fran has a particular interest in Equine matters and part share in an up and coming Event horse.
Douglas joined the firm in 2014 and is part of the Commercial Team. Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor in 2002, he was a farm and estate manager and has considerable experience in agricultural and commercial property including planning, land development, building construction, environmental, and rural related matters.
Douglas also works on behalf of local charities, for Parish Councils and not for profit organisations.
Jeremy Redfern, Partner and Head of Commercial says: I am delighted that through his commitment to developing agricultural work, Douglas Godwin has been made a partner in the firm.
Douglas’ background in farming enables him to understand the challenges that farmers face. He has strong existing relationships with local agents and is
planning further projects within the agricultural and equine sector.
Cyril Arridge, Managing Partner adds, they joined the firm through very different routes but they both bring a strong commitment to serving our clients’ needs and both have a proven record of going the extra mile.
