The Equality and Human Rights Commission has issued a practical guidance advising employers of their legal responsibilities in relation to harassment and victimisation in the workplace.
It also advises on what steps an employer should take to prevent and respond to such situations.
One of the principle steps it recommends is that employers should have in place up to date and robust policies for dealing with harassment and victimisation in the workplace. This is the starting point to ensure that legal responsibilities are complied with.
