After spending 18 years at the Evesham office, Peter moved to the Worcester office as Head of the Family Law department in 2003.
Peter covered all aspects of family law including divorce and separation, mediation, collaborative law and children law before specialising in financial remedy work. He has developed the family law departments in Worcester, Droitwich and Evesham and has built up an excellent reputation for training staff from graduates to partner level. He has been a member of the Law Forum at the School of Law, University of Worcester since its inception providing placement opportunities for the under graduates with six of them taking positions in the family law team upon graduation.
In 2013, he was proud to have been instrumental in the firm establishing a specialist Domestic Abuse Drop in Centre; the first of its kind in Worcestershire.
Peter is delighted that during his time as Head of the Family Law department that members of his team have won the following awards:

2019 - The President of the Worcestershire Law Society’s Award
2021 - The Worcestershire Law Society’s Trainee Solicitor of the Year Award
2022 - The Worcestershire Law Society’s Family Law Team of the Year Award
2023 - British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2023
Peter stepped down from his role of Head of Family Law in October 2024 and has left the department in the capable hands of Samantha Hulse. He will officially leave the practice on 31st March 2025.
Peter Lewis says, “It has been rewarding for me to see the staff progress in expertise leading to the growth of the department, and a significant increase in the number of clients that we have been able to assist with their family matters. I have no doubt that this will continue to do so after my retirement, whilst I take the opportunity to embrace new and old hobbies and passions.”
