The event is a women only night cycle challenge to raise funds to fight breast, cervical and ovarian cancers. Thousands of women form across the UK will come together to Ride the Night on Saturday 31 May 2014. The challenge is to cycle 100km throughout the night on a circular route starting and finishing at the Royal Windsor Racecourse passing many famous landmarks including Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square to name a few.
The three charities that will benefit from the "Ride the Night" challenge are:
Breast Cancer Care- 55,000 people each year are given the devastating news that they have breast cancer and Breast Cancer Care wants to be there for each and every one, providing expert information and skilled emotional and practical support informed by their clinical expertise.
Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust - After breast cancer cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women aged 35 and under. Their charity is the only one dedicated to women affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities in the UK.
Ovarian Cancer Action - Ovarian cancer is the biggest gynaecological killer in women and Ovarian cancer action is dedicated to improving women's chances of survival by funding research, raising awareness of the disease and giving the ladies a voice who are affected by it.
