Dunn & Baker Solicitors are pleased to announce the arrivals of Peter Gaywood and Katie Bennett to their team.
Peter Gaywood started in the Exeter office on Wednesday 26th May as an Associate and Chartered Legal Executive within the Residential Property Department. Having started in the legal sector in 1988, Peter became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executive in 2010 and has years of experience and a wealth of knowledge at his disposal. He has previously worked at several Exeter-based law firms prior to his arrival and has an extensive knowledge of the local area which his clients find invaluable. Peter specialises in Residential Property transactions and undertakes all aspects of Residential Conveyancing including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity and land transfers for both freehold and leasehold properties. He is also experienced with matters involving newbuild properties and the Help to Buy scheme, as well as shared ownership leases. Peter focusses on providing a service which is professional, efficient and friendly as he believes this helps towards an easy and stress-free transaction.

As well as Peter’s addition to the Residential Property team, Dunn & Baker Solicitors have also welcomed Katie Bennett who joined us on Monday 17th May as a Property Executive in the Cullompton office. Katie started her legal career in 2012 with a national firm and quickly progressed to become a Trainee Licensed Conveyancer in the same year. Katie has achieved her level 4 qualification and is well on her way to obtaining her final qualification, level 6. Her family have lived in Devon for generations assisting in a vast knowledge of the local area. With wide-ranging knowledge of all aspects of Residential Conveyancing, Katie specialises in sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity and help to buy redemptions for both registered or unregistered freehold and leasehold properties. She appreciates the importance of her client’s understanding of the process involved and encourages questions and queries to ensure her clients are informed and happy with the transaction.
