The team at QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker have organised a Rowathon in May of this year.
Throughout the week commencing 20th May, Dan Pollard and Sarah Finn will EACH be rowing a marathon (on a rowing machine) (26miles/42k) over 7 days. They will each row 6k every day. Then on Sunday 26th colleagues will join them and row another marathon. Collectively we will have rowed 3 marathons, a total of 78 miles/126k.
They will be raising funds for three local charities to which they have connections with. In particular, Dan Pollard has a personal connection with Dreams and Wishes. Nathan Pollard-Jones, Dan's son, was diagnosed with leukaemia in February 2018. Dreams and Wishes have been an amazing and invaluable source of support to Nathan and the family during this time, so Dan wanted the chance to bring this to people's attention and raise some money for this fantastic charity.
Dan Pollard, Associate Solicitor, said "Newton Abbot Leisure centre have kindly agreed to loan us the use of a rowing machine on 26th so we will be doing the final row on that day in the office."
Sarah Finn, Partner, said "We will keep you regularly updated as our training continues. Wish us luck and feel free to send any messages of support or indeed drop by the office on the 26th to cheer us on."
