Living together agreements
To provide you with legal protection living together agreements - or co-habitation agreements as they are sometimes known - are sensible arrangements for any situation where two or more people move in together. No one likes to think about things going wrong but it is sensible to plan for ‘what if’ - what if you are not married or part of a civil partnership and you separate? Or you are two friends or where one owns the property and the other pays all the bills, including part of the mortgage, does the DIY - and you fall out? The law does not automatically protect you if you go your separate ways. What if that happened - how would you feel?
