What issues will an employment Compromise Agreement cover?
They can vary but usually a Compromise Agreement will include;
- Details of the payments you will receive and when you will receive them
- Any agreed confidentiality clauses – i.e. your employer's trade secrets and business affairs and details of the compensation being paid to you
- A clause preventing you or your employer making derogatory remarks about each other
- Confirmation that the agreement is in settlement of all claims you might have – this means that will not be bringing any claims against your employer at Tribunal
- A clause binding your employer to give you an agreed reference to any future employer
