How can I appoint a power of attorney?

A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows you to appoint someone you trust to look after your affairs should you ever lose the ability to make your own decisions. When creating your power of attorney document, you will be able to specify one or more attorneys who will be responsible for looking after your affairs on your behalf. Once your document is created and signed it can then be sent off to be registered by the Court of Protection to ensure it is legally binding and able to protect you.
