What's the difference between probate and Letters of Administration?

Letters of Administration are issued to handle the estate of a person who has passed when there is no will or if a will is not deemed valid, while a Grant of Probate is issued if there is a will, and it is issued to the named executors of the will who are to deal with the estate.
